Abraham

today i am talking about Abraham, Sarah and Isaac. Abraham and Sarah were married and were very old. An angel appeared before Abraham saying that they will have a son and they would name it Isaac. Sarah didn't believe at first because they were so old how could they have a baby. they waited for many years and their faith grew weary but finally got delivered and Abraham had a son. they called him Isaac. One day god asked Abraham to go to the mountains and offer his one and only son to sacrifice. Abraham took his son with the wood and all the needs to light a fire and started walking u the hill. half way, Isaac asked "where is the offering?" All that Abraham said was "God will provide when we are there." when they reached the top of the mountains, they set out the wood and he took his son and tied him on the wood. tears were flowing out of his eyes. He took his dagger out and when he was about to slay him, God said"STOP do not sacrifice your son there is a lamb behind the bush, because of your faith that you are willing to sacrifice your own son, you will have more descendants than there are stars in the heavens. i find that this story has a great meaning. its about how Abraham had so much faith in the lord and was even willing to sacrify his own son it also shows god is mercyful and will always fulfil our promises he will never lets us down nor fail in our promise like we do sometimes.
